NOVEMBER 2018 EDA INCLUSIVE - BY JEWEL

Last month was the first Wellness Your Way Festival. I partnered with Kroger to create WYWF because I believe everyone deserves to have access to the information and tools needed to live a healthy and happy life. To me, being healthy is not just physical fitness, but also mental and emotional wellness. It was a really touching weekend with many beautiful moments shared.

A highlight for me was watching Cherrial, one of my young friends from Inspiring Children Foundation, speak in front of hundreds about how in 2 years she has gone from multiple suicide attempts to now living a happy, healthy life ... giving them hope to hold on, that there are smiles ahead. 

Thank you to all those that attended and to everyone who helped bring WYWF to life. It was so great to meet everyone and I do believe that connection cures. I was reminded of my EDA community coming together for the past 22 years. To end my Saturday afternoon keynote, I felt compelled to sing this again.  This song is for you, where it all began. I hope that you, like me, are still sensitive.
